His return to the scene starts from France, and with a significant role: he will be King Louis XV in the film Jeanne du Barry, which focuses on one of the royal concubine. Jeanne Du Barry follows Jeanne, a young working-class woman who uses her intelligence to climb the social hierarchy. When she is noticed by the king himself, the turning point comes. The king does not know that she is just a working-class woman and immediately falls in love with her. After the relationship with Madame de Pompadour, the king has Jeanne transferred to Versailles, against all court protocol.
The story will show us historical truths and romanticized love stories. They will start filming in June between Paris and the Palace of Versailles. Depp will have a double role since he will also be the producer of this crucial project to make a comeback.
